Stitching and Stamping

Sorry for the cruddy photo, I don't know why this fabric wants to do this in the photos. :o( Anyway, here is my progress on Poinsettia House. Well , actually I have gotten a little farther than this photo. So, hopefully I will have it finished by the next time and I am ready to post. ;o)
Here is my Gingerbread cookie ornament. I had to end up frogging that entire left border, as you can see from this photo I have it facing the wrong way. URGH! ;o)
I actually did some stamping the other day. I had a birthday lunch to go to and my friend is a fellow lover of pink, so I had fun. ;o)

We are almost finished with the redecoration of our family room. I have spent most of today dusting, cleaning and putting books back on shelves. We hope to have it done by next weekend so that we can put up our Christmas tree!

In other non related news, our oldest turned 24 today!!! I am OLD! ;o) I actually had him when I was 18, so I guess I am not that old, but I do feel it today. ;o)

Welcome to all of my new followers! I hope to get to know you more soon! I hope y'all are having a lovely weekend!

Autumn scissor fob and card

Hi! Just a quick post to show you a scissor fob I made for a friend. She admired mine, so I decided to make her one too. This is from the design Autumn is in the Air by Brittercup Designs. I stitched it on 32ct Cream Linen with the called for threads. I also made her a card to go with it. I used PTI's Leaf Prints and their Wood-grain Impression Plate. I LOVE that impression plate! ;o) I sure hope she likes it! ;o)
Welcome to all my new followers! I am always so blessed that you take time from your lives to stop by and say hi!!!

Here is a close up of the wood-grain impression plate.

Hi! I thought I would pop on here and post my first Christmas card for the year. One down on 59 to go!! ;o)

Betsy Veldman's card was my inspiration. I used PTI's Bells and Boughs, and their musical background.

I REALLY have to get busy and start cranking out some Christmas cards! Welcome to all of my new followers!!! I am blessed to have you stop by my little corner of the blogosphere! ;o)

Pink & Brown Happy Birthday

I made this birthday card for me sweet friend Jenn. She and I share a love of pink! ;o) I love these sets from Papertrey! I stamped BB Sheet Music on some pink patterned paper I had in my stash. I love Make a wish and Make a wish Additions. Of course I had to add a little bit of Stickles to the top of each layer. ;o)

Sympathy card

Here is a card I made for a friend who had lost her 2 year old daughter. I love Hydrangeas and this one is so easy to colour. I just stamped it with Versa Mark and then used chalks to colour it in. The tag is Papertrey's Tiny Tags and the sentiment is from PTI's Birds of a Feather set. The background is SU's French Script.

~Hot Cocoa Mix Gift Tag~

Just a quick post today to share a tag I made this morning to put on a canister of Hot Cocoa Mix that I am sending to my oldest son. I LOVE how this tag turned out. I love Papertrey's tag dies, they make creating so much fun!

I saved a empty powdered milk canister and covered it with wrapping paper. That was an ordeal! (Maybe that is why I have a headache!) ;o) I used the Tag sale 2 die from Papertrey and cut a Kraft tag. Stamped a snowflake from an old SU set in SU White craft ink and I also inked the edges of the two tags. Then I stamped the adorable mug image from PTI's Tiny Treats Christmas in PTI Dark Chocolate. I made a second tiny tag with a die from Cuttlebug and stamped the saying from PTI Holiday Treats in SU craft Real Red. It was such a fun tag to make. I am sure my son will not even notice! LOL!! ;o)

I hope y'all are enjoying the blessings of this Christmas season!
